Seche Vite dry fast top coat

I read quite a bit about Seche Vite's quick drying top coat online and really wanted to try it out but while looking to buy it and finding some pretty mixed reviews and a pretty decent price tag I wasn't so sure anymore. The next time I stopped into my local Sally's it just happened to be on sale so I bought a bottle. 

I will say that with the first bottle I absolutely loved this top coat. The outside dried quickly and that is awesome for a mom with a toddler. However, now that I've been using this for a while I'm no longer impressed. I've found a lot of things I really don't like about this top coat.

First, I don't do my nails quite as often as I did when I first started using this polish and that is what caused my first issue. 

This is day 3 of this polish. The tips look terrible. That is not chipping. That is where the top coat "shrank" as it dried and dragged my color along with it which opens it up for really bad chipping. That is my biggest issue. I can't stand how bad it pulls back. Some of the nails on my other hand are even worse!

Also, while this polish is fast drying, the polish layers underneath are not always going to be fast drying, which means that you have a dry base coat and a dry top coat with a wet layer of color in the middle. So while your nails feel dry to the touch and you think you're good to do whatever you need to do you could be putting huge dents in your nails. It can take hours for your nails to be fully dry. 

It also has a pretty strong smell. 

Overall, I was super impressed - at first - because I'd never used a fast dry top coat before. Now I am no longer happy with the product and would not recommend it to others.
