Wicked Polish Order

On February 2nd Wicked Polish did a restock and I made sure I had extra money to order. I knew I was going to go a bit crazy. I LOVE Wicked Polish and had been wanting to get a few bottles for AGES but I'd never seen the store stocked and couldn't find them stocked anywhere else either. I ended up buying 10 bottles. There were only 2 I missed. One was sold out already (less than 45 minutes after the restock went live) and the other I skipped because I decided the 10 bottles was already enough of a hit on my bank account.

My order was so big that they had to get a bigger box to send mine out. So it took a bit longer to get to me. I waited very patiently, at least, I tried to. But I finally got them in on Saturday the 22nd.

They were each bubble wrapped in a bubble packet.

All 10 bottles arrived safely.

Drunk In Public- Hematoma - Fairy Blood Spatter

Hallucinating Gremlins - Arson - Expired Pixie Dust

Mangled Mermaid - Stabbed By A Unicorn

Pox - Hung Over The Rainbow

So far I have tried 2 of them and I will have photos up as soon as I try a couple more. I can't just swatch these and remove them. So far both I've tried have been awesome and I have to wear them at least a day before I remove it otherwise I feel like I'm just wasting the polish. I'll probably do them in 2 posts. Polishes for each but I'm not sure yet. If it gets to Friday and I still only have 3 or 4 used I'll probably go ahead and post those then.

So excited to try the rest of these out. So many super pretty polishes.

Sea Goddess

I picked up the entire China Glaze Sea Goddess collection about 2 weeks ago. I was so excited for this set to come out. As soon as I started seeing swatches for these polishes, I knew I wanted all of them. I was not disappointed. I'm not sure how but I did save $1 off each bottle. I bought them at Sally's with my Sally's card so I'm not sure if that's why I saved or if there was a sale that I missed. Either way I'm not complaining. I ended up getting the whole set for less than $35.

These are TEXTURED polishes which means that they will dry bumpy. They have sand in them to give them this texture and it's totally normal. I was told by the girl at Sally's that they dried funny and I would need a really good top coat. SO obviously not everyone knows that they are supposed to be a bit different than a normal polish.

The first one I tried out is Sand Dolla Make You Holla which is a white base with multicolored glitters. I love this polish. So pretty and kind of makes me think of sand. I live in Florida so our beaches are super white with little specks in it; normally black but this looks about the same just with colorful specks instead of black ones. Also, sorry about the ring finger nail. I broke it and tried fixing it and didn't notice that it popped back out until later. : /

There are two pinks in the collection and this is the darker of the two, Shell We Dance?  Shell We Dance? is a darker pink with very sparkly pink glitter and it's a very pretty color.

This is Tail Me Something. This purple is VERY sparkly. I swear this one had like, quadruple the glitter of the rest of them. So glittery.

Teal The Tide Turns is a light/medium blue with darker blue glitters. I really liked this color. It's quite a bit different from the other colored polishes from this collection because the glitters stand out  a bit more. All the rest (other than Sand Dolla Make You Holla) have glitters that are much closer to the same color as the base.

Wish on a Starfish is a lighter pink with a peachy shimmer. This is one of my favorites. The shimmer makes this color so pretty.

The last polish is Seahorsin' Around. This polish is my favorite form this collection. Sadly, I could not get a good picture of this. I'm not sure why but my camera just could not capture it. The color is a blue but has a green shift to it. This color would seriously be the perfect color for the base on mermaid nail art. It just looks perfect for fish scale type stuff. So, so, so pretty.

I'm still pretty new to textures but I'm really loving them. When they first came out I really thought I would hate them. But When I saw the first swatches for Snowbody Like You from the Christmas collection I knew I had to try it, especially when I started reading the bad reviews on it. lol I'm not sure why but that made me want to try it even more. I loved that polish. Textures can be a bit difficult to work with but you get used to it pretty quickly.

Color Club Cloud Nine

I finally ordered my first ever holo polish. I am in love. It is so pretty. I HAVE to find some more.

This is Color Club Cloud Nine. The color in the bottle is a light purple but once you see it in the light you can see every color in the rainbow. I tried my best to capture this polish with my camera and it did ok. The bottle really shows the colors. I could not stop looking at my nails the first day I had this on. So pretty.

This polish also stamps great. This shows it stamped over black. The stamp pattern is from Moyou London Sailor 07 plate. I had no trouble at all stamping.

This is one of my favorite polishes right now. I really have to try stamping over some other colors with it. I will be buying more holos very soon. I think I'll probably try some Mentality Holos sometime in the next few weeks.

With the last restock of Wicked Polish I order 10 polishes that should be coming in sometime this week. I also ordered 6 bottles from Pop Culture Cosmetics that should come in next week or early the week after. I will be working on swatches of these when I get them and will have those posted. I am really excited to play with all my new pretties. : )

Nails! Nails! Nails!

This is going to be another combined post with a few random manis I've done. They all just have one photo so I don't want to do super short posts for each one.

I joined Ipsy in December and this came in my first bag. The brand is Nicka K New York and came with no name. (which makes me crazy) Its a nice color. I really didn't think I would like this one. I got loads of compliments on this which really blew my mind. lol. I think these retain for like $4.99 but I'm not sure where to buy them. I'd never heard of the brand before I got it in my bag.

Pink and green stamping using my Moyou London Sailor 07 plate. I'm really loving all these plates. Can't wait to order more. They stamp so easily.

I've done this one before and I love it. These colors are so pretty together. I used China Glaze Lemon Fizz and Shocking Pink. Shocking Pink is my favorite summer color. So bright and pretty.

Sinful Colors has their St. Patty's Day display out and it has all kinds of nice greens. I bought 4 different ones and because Green Ocean has been so hard to get a hold of I got 3 of those. I bought all the ones my store had. : )

This is Pistache. I really like this green. Its very pretty on its own but I think it will also be really nice for stamping.

I also decided to try Pistache with Green Ocean. I didn't love this pairing but it's ok. I probably won't do it again. I've seen Green Ocean over black and it looks great so I might try doing some darker colors next. For somethign I'd wanted really bad I was a little disappointed in Green Ocean but I think it was just this pairing. If I try it over a different color that it matches better hopefully that will make me happier with it.

I finally got new nail polish storage. This is a Melmer that I picked up from A.C Moore. Chances are if you go into the store and ask for a Melmer the employees are going to look at your like you have 5 heads. This is from their storage stuff and even when I explained to the lady what I was looking for she said they didn't have them. I ended up finding this about a month later while my son and I were walking around waiting on my hubby. These are made top stack and be set up as desks and things. They retail for like $34.99 but you can almost always find craft store coupons for 50% off. I paid $18 for mine. I actually have a second one waiting to be put together since my top drawer is 100% full and I can't fit even 1 more bottle in it. My guess is that these would hold about 300-350 bottles each.

This is my final photo and then I'm all caught up!! I have 1 more saved but I have more things I'm going to do with that polish before I post it so that one will probably be up next week or the week after. This is one of the Valentine's Day nails I did and I love them. I was so proud of these. I stamped the hearts using Bundle Monsters Holiday plates and the pointer and pinky are just silver with a black/pink glitter over top.

If you haven't seen the Bundle Monster plates you should really look in to them. They're great and they have everything. Even little holidays like Chinese New Year and Cinco De Mayo. I think the set comes with 24 or 25 plates and it's like $19 on Amazon.

All caught up!! I will be posting swatches this weekend of all of the China Glaze Sea Goddess collection polishes. I've done 3 of 6 swatches so far so I'll have that up soon. I also have a post coming soon for my first ever Holo polish!!

Last Christmas Nails

This post is going to be all of the Christmas nails I haven't posted yet. After this one I'll be up to stuff that I've done within the last few weeks. No more Christmas stuff after this one. (!!!!!)

This is OPI Guy Meets Gal-veston. Its an Orangeish red jelly. So even after 2 or 3 coats its still kind of see through.

I decided to use that color as a base for some Tape Christmas trees. This is not my design but it was all over instagram this year. I loved it. Its really easy too. I didn't have a super fine nail art brush yet so instead of trying to hand paint stars I used some scrapbooking glitter to add the stars on top of the trees.

I love this one. I just wish my stamping has turned out a bit better. For the accent nail I painted it blue and then stamped with the same silver from the base of my other nails. I made the stamp a decal and ended up messing it up when I put it on my nail and because I was out of pure acetone I decided to just leave it. I didn't want to fight with the polish. In the photo you can't really tell. The blue glitter is from Sinful Colors and I love it. It is so pretty.

These aren't really Christmas nails. But I wore them for my husband's work Christmas party. I wore a black dress with all sapphire jewelry so I wanted to try to match my nails. The blue is Frostbite from China Glaze and it matches my Sapphire wedding ring perfectly. I was really proud of how well my nails matched up with my outfit.

Lynnderellas

This week has been a mess. I ended up not posting...AGAIN yesterday. But again, I have a good excuse. Last week I had to have a couple teeth extracted and then after a couple days I noticed my pain wasn't from the extraction so I called the dentist and it turned out I had bone spurs coming through. It was so painful and the dentist ended up having to cut them out. It was worse than having the teeth removed. It sucked. So yesterday I was totally out. My hubby is still out of town so I was extremely stressed and in pain trying to wrangle a 2.5 year old and our 3 crazy fur babies. Yesterday was not a good day.

I'm getting pretty close to being caught back up. Only a few more posts and I'll be doing recent stuff.

This post is going to be for my Lynnderellas. These are older ones. Probably still for sale though because I got them pretty cheap (at least for Lynndellas) in blog sales.

Matter of the Heart is, I think, the first ever Indie I got. Its a light pink base with lots of chunky glitters. There are several colors including pink. red, and purple. There are also some holo hearts in there. Its a very pretty polish. I don't think I used any undies when I did this swatch but I should have. I've only done 1 mani and I think I ended up doing 3 or 4 coats. So next time I will put this over a pale pink.

My other Lynnderella is Angel Food and I love this polish. It is so pretty. Its a purple-y pink base with lots of small white glitters along with some extra tiny purple and holo glitters. Its a very nice sping color.

I also did some fun Lip stamping using my Bundle Monster holiday plates. I loved this polish. Its is so pretty and so perfect for Valentine's Day and for spring. I know I will be using this one for Easter stuff.

Dollish Polish

A few weeks ago (months?) when Dollish Polish restocked Expecto Patronum I HAD to order it. Like I physically needed this polish. I might have died if I hadn't ordered it. Probably. I ended up placing 2 orders with Dollish Polish in less than a week. And I've placed another order since then. I'm going to go ahead and combine all of my orders into this one post for now. Eventually I will either add an update with the 2 swatches that are missing from this post.

There is Expecto Patronum. If you didn't already know it, that's from Harry Potter. A Patronus Charm is used to fight Dementors and is a pretty big part of book 3. Expecto Patronum is a white base with teal glitters in different sizes. Its gorgeous. I love it.

My second order included It's So Fluffy I'm Gonna Die And I'll Tumble For Ya. Its So fluffy I'm Gonna Die is a super pretty pale pink with different shades of pink glitters.

I have been wanting this polish for ever. I was so angry the day my order came in for this polish. I looked at the bottles and then put away I'll Tumble For Ya and left this one on my desk because I was getting ready to swatch it. I had to go make dinner and when I came back it was gone. My husband tore the house apart looking for it. After tears and yelling. and a few time out trips for our 2 year old we still couldn't find it so I had to order another bottle. Still get mad when I think about that. Ugh. Somewhere hidden in our house is a second bottle of this polish.

There is It's So Fluffy I'm Gonna Die with or super fluffy puppy. Shes new. We got her New Years Eve and shes huge. In less than 1.5 months shes gone from about 11 or 12 pounds to almost 30. I was actually going to swatch this polish on her nails but I didn't think she would co operate and even if she did I couldn't have gotten a good photo so I saved my polish.

I also added some Valentine's Day stamping. I just used a darker pink to stamp some hearts using Bundle Monsters Holiday plates.

I'll Tumble For Ya. I love this polish. It's like a party on my nails. I love the colors and the shapes. It's perfect. White base with pink, blue, green, and black glitters in different shapes including squares and stars just to name a couple.

My most recent order was for the last 3 still in stock polishes from the Mario polishes. I'm hoping to eventually find the rest of this collection in a blog sale somewhere. I got Wicked Wario, The Koopa King, and 1-Up.

The only one of these that I have swatched so far is 1-Up. I put it over Pure Ice Kiss Me Here. And then did a little mushroom as an accent. The mushroom is not me design. I fount it on pinterest but I have no idea who to credit it to. Its very cute though and really easy to do.

I love all my Dollish Polishes and I will have more soon. : )

Pop Culture Cosmetics Polishes

On black Friday I ordered some of Pop Culture Cosmetics polishes. I ordered most of them in minis though because I wanted to be able to try out lots of different polishes. I LOVE them. I've already ordered all but 2 in full sized bottles. And I plan to order the other 2 in full sized bottles soon.

3 Wishes is from the "Once" collection based on the show Once Upon a Time. If you don't watch it, you should. It's a fantastic show. They really put a different spin on all the old Disney Characters we've grown up with. I love it. 3 Wishes is a yellow-y colored base with gold glitters in different sizes. Out of all the polished I ordered this was my least favorite. I thought the base was going to be a little closer to white than to yellow. I still like this polish and I am going to order this one in a full sized bottle, it just wasn't quite what I was expecting.

On Safari is a white base with Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Black glitters along with Mickey glitters!! I LOVE this polish. LOVE IT. I'm not sure what collection this was from but I believe all the polishes in it were based off of some of the Disney Resorts. This is now discontinued but I'm so glad I got this polish before she took it off the site.

The rest of the polishes I ordered were all Christmas/winter polishes but I have a feeling I'll probably wear some of them even when its not that time of year.

This one is Frosty over 1 coat of white. It literally looks like Frosty the Snowman in a bottle. This could not possibly look more like a snowman. My son even calls this polish "snowman" and he really has no idea who Frosty is. Hes 2 and we live in Florida. We don't build many Frostys down here. Frosty is a shimmery white base with black and white glitters, orange shreds, and snowflakes. Seriously could not be more in love with this polish.

I added a bit of nail art to it. I hand painted Frosty using a photo I found through Google. I am so proud of him. This was only my 2nd or 3rd time trying character nail art and I think he turned out really well. Especially since I am not at all artistically talented.

This polish is Peppermint Mick over 1 coat of white. Another polish I absolutely adore. It is a white base with red and white glitters. this one also has silver Mickeys. This polish is so Christmassy. I love it.

I also did some nail art over this one. I added a Christmas Mickey. He could have turned out better but I'm pretty proud of him.

Snow Queen is a blue base with micro blue glitters and small white glitters. It also has large snowflakes. Another very nice wintery nail polish. This is 2 coats over white.

This polish is Silent Night. The photo does not do this polish justice at all. This polish
is SO pretty. The base is a blue jelly and it is gorgeous. I would love to have a bottle of just the base without glitter. Its the perfect blue. This polish is packed with all kinds of glitters. There are holo squares, hexes, stars, and moons along with tiny white hexes and snowflakes. Very very pretty polish. When I did the swatch of this polish I only had a mini and I was terrified of using it all up so I only put 1 or 2 coats over a white base. It was a bit streaky but if I had put 1 more coat I think that would have evened out and looked much better. I just love how pretty this polish is.

I think all but Snow Queen and 3 Wishes are now discontinued but maybe they will be re-released next year.

Sinful Colors Envy

It's been a couple days....again. I have a good reason this time though. : ) Friday was mine and my hubby's 5th anniversary and then yesterday we were really busy getting things ready for him to go out of town this week. He left this morning to do a class for a new certification for his job. Hes only been gone since about 6 this morning and I already miss him. It's going to be a long week. Thankfully Aidan hasn't started asking yet where daddy is.

Anyway, for some reason I wanted to try a few things out with this Envy color. I don't have very many green polishes (by not many I mean I only have like 15) so when I do find a green I don't have I try to make sure I pick it up. And I've learned even if I don't love it in the bottle (if it isn't oo expensive) I should go ahead and pick it up anyway.

Envy is a dark green. Its a nice color. Went on easy and wasn't streaky. It has no shimmer or Glitter. Just a nice dark green.

That's not exactly true to life. At least on my screen it looks kind of blueish but its actually just green. No blueish tint to it.

Because sometimes plain nails bore me I decided to try some blue tips. I removed it pretty quickly. My lines are crap and the colors are just not the best together.

And finally (on my rarely posted right hand) I tried the dry brushing grunge technique that Chalkboard Nails did. You can click here to see hers and a tutorial. : )

Over all I like this color best for nail art. Its ok by its self but I think it looks better paired with other colors. I hated the blue tips but I did actually like my "grunge" nails. That was my first time trying dry brushing but I liked it pretty well. I might end up trying that out with some bright colors for summer.

Egyptian stamping

Since my last post was about my Moyou London plates I decided to do this one on my favorite stamping mani so far using those plates. Since I LOVE all things Egyptian, I suppose it isn't surprising that my favorite so far was done using my Egyptian plate- Explorer 04.

I love them. Seriously, this plate has so many neat little designs to use. Lots of the hieroglyphs are on there and then the King Tut face. It also has 2 different pyramid patterns and palm trees and a few other designs. I love it. I think they had one other plate with Egyptian stuff on it so I might eventually have to order that one too.

Moyou London Plates

I love stamping but I'm still pretty new at it. My first stamping set was the Salon Express set they sold on TV AGES ago. I picked it up at Sally's about  a year or so ago. The plates that come with it have a couple cute designs but mostly they're junk. The full nail images might fit the nails for a 5 year old. Maybe. The stamper is decent and actually works pretty well to make decals with or to stamp small designs but for just stamping full nail designs with, it wasn't very good. Its very hard. I ordered some squishy stampers from a lady in one of my stamping groups on Facebook and they are great. Super easy to use for full nail stamping.

I also ordered a big set of Bundle Monster stamping plates. They're pretty good too but the set I ordered is all holiday stuff.

I kept hearing about Moyou London plates. And I finally looked them up and I LOVE their plates. They have some really neat ones.

These are the ones I ordered.

This is my Explorer 04 plate. I love this one so much. I've always been fascinated by Egyptian stuff so this was a must have plate for me.

Fairytale 06 plate is a Mermaid. I love the fairytale plates and I will probably eventually get the rest of them.

Sailor 07 plate. I love the sailor plates too. I live by the beach so I have to do beachy nails. : )

The last plate I got is the Sailor 08 plate. I love all the little fishes and stuff on this one!

Click here to go to the Moyou London website. They do ship from the UK but their shipping prices aren't too bad to the US and they also have pretty quick shipping. I got all 4 of my plates for like $35 with a coupon code.
